Sanford is probably the second biggest destination in Florida for tourists visiting the area. This is due o the accessibility to major tourist attractions from the airport and from downtown. The museum is open on Tuesday – Friday from 111am – 4pm and on Saturdays from 1pm – 4pm, admission is free.

Another way to look at the history of Sanford and its buildings is to take a guided walking tour of the Historic District and takes about an hour, alternatively for those who do not wish to walk there is a bus tour that operates from the centre of town by the clock.
